Personalized Profile:
When users open our app they will be guided through the process of making a personalized profile. Our software will then be able to use these personalizations as filters that can be applied to the rest of our app's features. By choosing to enter-in optional information such as height, weight, allergies, medications, medical conditions and medical history, PharmAssist will be able to deliver users with an exclusive recommendation of individual medical needs.
Logging Feature:
By users adding prescription and over-the-counter medications to their PharmAssist profile, the app will allow customers to set reminders to take multiple medications as well as the dosages of each. PharmAssist will then be able to send system-generated notifications with auditory, visual, and vibratory affects; making it as convenient as possible to remember to take medication. Subsequently, the app will allow individuals to easily log medication in their personal log. The personal log acts as a safety feature to resist accidental overdose on medication. A copy of a personal log can even be printed out or shared with medical professionals to inform them of the user's medicine intake for everyday appointments or in the case of an emergency.
Interaction Checker:
PharmAssist will utilize First Data Bank's (FDB) database of medicine interactions to assess the risks of different medications that users add to their profile. PharmAssist's technology allows users to check medicinal interactions with their personal health information to describe any possible endangerments that other un-personalized interaction filters would not recognize. Interactions can commonly be found between many unsuspecting things such as drugs, allergies, medical conditions, pregnancy, caffeine, alcohol, vitamins/supplements, and citrus drinks. Along with the risk assessment provided will be some possible side-effects that would help users to understand why they may feel a headache or other types of infirmities.
Family Circle:
PharmAssist's one-of-a-kind Family Circle helps users to ensure not only their own safety, but the safety of their loved ones. By connecting a family's profile they can observe each others' medicine intake. Doing so allows parents to make sure their child has taken their medication and, even more, it gives adults confidence that their elderly parents are current on their medication. Users can even set customized reminders for certain family members' medication if they have not taken it yet. For example, an adult would be notified if their elderly parent has yet to taken a medication that is vital to their health. PharmAssist's Family Circle feature brings peace of mind to anxious families.
